A rainy day finally

Fantastic - finally some rain ! We really need it - the paddocks were turning to dust and the front 'lawn' was browning off.
With just a gentle breeze and cooler temperatures - just lovely.
Well I can't believe I haven't updated this since September, seems I've been busy (doing 'nothing' I've been told!!)
Krystin has finally returned - well, in body at least, the mind is definitely elsewhere. The 'boys' are finally getting some exercise and are looking less shabby. The paddock situation is not ideal however. Another birthday has come and gone - hard to believe she is already 19 and looking for somewhere to live in Canberra for next year - university! She is however looking forward to using her present - 6 laps in a V8 Supercar and 3 hot laps with a driver !!! And I thought I was a rev-head!
The boyfriend makes occasional appearences, very tall and very quiet, helps her with cleaning the paddocks - what a lad!
We have had Justin up for 5 days for a visit! So good to see him and especially since he is in such a great frame of mind.
I can't believe that the eyebrows are still there - albeit a bit thin! The funniest sight is his legs! Half bald on one side and hairy on the outside! He was tossing up whether he should attempt waxing with shorts weather fast appearing.
Melbourne is his home for the moment and he is enjoying it (chemo aside!) - friends and work are good. Occasional times of feeling a bit down but not very often. He's now decided what to do next year, IT has been given the flick and Business management or Foreign affairs are being considered! He's still into the music and is aided and abetted by his flatmate, they've gone to town and converted the garage into a soundproof (hopefully!) music studio and are combining rock/guitar with techno....hmmmm
Well, doctor's are happy with his progress - they are hopeful that he will be all clear by December! yay! The immune system injections which are self-administered are the only glitch at the moment - chemo is mostly ok - but he is complaining that the veins are disappearing and his arms are beginning to look like pin-cushions!.
Had a lovely weekend. Visited our good friends Barb & Terry down in Sussex with their kids, Arnya and Karl and his girlfirend and their dog! Justin and Krystin also came along. Really enjoyed our brunch and catch up - it's been too long!
The kids have all grown up - don't know where the time has gone!.
We drove home via Culburra beach and did some whale tail watching! what a sight! We will be spending a week there in January when our Polish cousins arrive!!
