It's 2015 and...

The storms we have had of late are crazy - just look at the clouds - pretty amazing..the resulting hailstorms have taken many by suprise!
Autumn is on its way! Yes, I've seen some oaks already showing scarlet leaves. Couldn't be possible I thought! Couldn't be the lack of rain down this region, we have been soaking in it for quite some time. In fact, where was the incredibly shocking hot summer? Well, I guess, it's only a couple of weeks until March, the official beginning of autumn.
The house hasn't progressed much beyond the first coat of interior paint and some switches and lights being placed on the walls. As the song goes....'money is too tight to mention' .. here.
C has had a short contract for a few weeks - but at some cost. Nothing like getting up at 4am each day to drive 1.5 hours then get home at 7:30, eat and go to bed at 9:00 and do it all again - yes, 7 days a week.... where is Healty & Safety when you need them??? Can't imagine why you would hit a kangaroo at 5am, can you? Safety guy asks 'next time, what could you do to avoid hitting a kangaroo'?....doh... I don't know, maybe start work at a civilised hour - that would help.... hmmm.... maybe if the council kept the grass mowed on the verges of the road so you could actually see them.... ummm..... shoot all the kangaroos.... STUPID QUESTION!!!
Wouldn't want to run into this fellow!

It was a hope against hope that 2015 would be better than 2014, but our luck, or lack of it, seems to be following on into this year. It's definitly not the year of the car that's for sure. C started the trend late last year by collecting a kangaroo in my big blue beast. That got repaired. Since then both our cars are very sad and sorry looking. Apart from the fact that both windscreens now have cracks in them which we are loath to replace so early in the year (only 1 windscreen replacement per year on our insurance policies), both cars have been crunched by kangaroos and the next insult, I won't say final, was a hail storm that left my blue beast looking very sad indeed. To this tale of woe we can add the kids' cars... both still off the road - no one has the money to fix them. K has had to move to town and walks everywhere and J rides his motorbike whilst his car sits looking very forlorn in his driveway.
