This is a past event now - thank goodness!  Back in January after the New Year we returned to the house for the weekend to do some work before the builders started in earnest.  All I can say is that when we arrived and saw the state of the house I literally cried! It took all four of us the entire weekend to attempt to clean up the disaster.

Now, you ask, why would there be a mob of sheep in the house?   Good question!

Our neighbours down the lane (a right-of-way through our property) don't seem to understand the concept of shutting the gate! A lovely local farmer down the way has been agisting is sheep and cattle for many years on our property.  Several times now his sheep have wandered off through the open gate and out onto the road - some of our fences are in a serious state of disrepair, but the farmer knows this.  When we have been there with the horses I shut the gate over and over again. I've even resorted to writing a short note explaining that we had livestock on the property and even though it was an inconvenience could they please shut the gate when they leave or return (quite a normal procedure in the country!).

Anway... I guess this time a good samaritan decided the mob was a danger to the local traffic and since they came from our property they must be ours...so... they managed to put them into our house block, sigh!

The weather must have been incredibly severe as the mob obviously sheltered in the house and garage. The end result was sheep poo and wee  everywhere - boy did it stink! The once lovely and clean concrete floor was stained black and the little balls of poo filled the window frame tracks which were waiting to be installed.
Shovels, brooms, mops and bleach.... of course there isn't any water connected so rinsing or hosing were not an option!

Here are some lovely photos...
