It's hard enough to keep up with software, apps, blogs, social media et al. I started with this website software because it was not only free but allowed a multitude of formatting options etc. Of course, nothing is free! As I progressed with this work-in-progress I had to make a decision at some point to actually publish it. Then of course I wanted my own domain name, that's not free. That being done you then have to find the time to actually keep it up to date and actually write something. I'm not into telling everyone that I had a cup of tea at 10:20 or that I'm going to wash my hair..... that really belongs to the youth of today... they wonder why they get cyber-bullied when they post selfies of their near-naked or even naked bodies and make inane and hurtful comments about all and sundry. There's nothing to be done, it's how technology has progressed and taken over everyone's lives - don't sit there with a smug smile on your face.... your're reading this, right?
Anyway, everyone is affected in some manner or other - we can't go back (yet?)
Well, my gripe was going to be that this sitebuilder, Yola, has tossed out it's Blogging abilities and joined up with Tumblr - the theory is that you should have a Tumblr account and if you want to blog then you do it there....Tumblr is a bit confusing and has a learning curve like all new apps. It is definitely for the young with their fairyfloss brains....having said that, yes, I do have a Tumblr account (no comments about my fairyfloss brain!). I use it for my photography mainly because it is also highly customisable and I have almost come to grips with it.
I will add the Tumblr widget to this site so that you can have a look at my photography - but do have a look at what other people have on here - some of it is quite amazing - there are so many talented and innovative people out there today!
