Look out at the eastern sky just before sunrise and you will see a planetary alignment happening. NASA says that it's not really a planetary alignment - it's just where you are located that makes it look like one - they like to spoil the fun, don't they?
Jupiter, Venus and Mercury will line up on the ecliptic and Mars is visible just below. Neptune and Uranus are there too but you will need a small telescope to see them. Saturn is visible in the Western sky to complete the line up in the evening.
On May 30th a great finale will be visible with the planets and the crescent moon all in the morning sky lining up for a feast for the eyes.
Each morning there will be a different pattern as the planets move off around their orbits -so get up early and have a squiz!
